Automatic Updates

Is there a way to get auto updates to stop telling me about updates.. Everytime it tells me new updates found. I go up and it is for IE9. I keep on unchekcin it as I do not want IE9 . Is there a way of stopping it all together..

Right click on the update and click "hide update". That should do it.
