No Sound?
Recently I've been having a problem with having no sound in my Windows 7 machine. My speakers work fine on other systems, and plugging in headphones in any port won't produce sound either. I haven't installed any new programs, - just Windows updates, which I have uninstalled through System Restore to no avail. I've attached a picture to show that the computer says it's producing sound, but still no sound comes out. I can't figure out what the problem is. Help please?
UPDATE: I "system restored" even further back, and now I have sound. Here are the updates that Windows wants me to install now, so I'm guessing these are the problem. Has anyone had any trouble with these? Have you made sure nothing is muted out in the sound settings?
Does Device manager show any errors? Have you tried to roll back the audio driver? |

Create a restore point as of now and then install the updates one by one, to suss the offender out.

Sorry for the late update, but I installed them one by one, and now I have no problem. Very strange. Thanks for the help!
