Boot from usb flash drive...?
How do i install windows 7 from a usb flash drive!?!? Im on windows XP now.

It's a lot easier installing it from a DVD.

Before you ask again, I need to ask you to read forum rule 9. I'm not accusing you of anything, but if you have a legal copy of Windows 7, it will most likely already be on a DVD.

Lost my disk so i previouslly backed it up on a flash drive.

You need to make the flash drive bootable before you can use it to install an OS. See here: How To Boot From A USB Flash Drive

Strollin, can he make the flash drive bootable and installable with Windows 7 already backed up to it?
Do you still have your install key? If so, you can borrow a Win 7 DVD. |

I would suggest that you back the new one up and store it and the key somewhere safe!
