Canon PowerShot A2200 drivers
Hi all,
This might not be the right forum for this, however I thought I would give it a shot since I have found many helpful responses to my other computer-related questions in the past. I have a Canon PowerShot A2200 that will not work when I plug it into a Win32 Vista machine. It attempts to load the drivers from a library, but it turns up nothing. I cannot find a single driver file online (for Vista or any other Windows OS) and no mention of compatibility issues. The same camera works fine on my Windows 7 64-bit computer. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Something else.
When you plug the camera in and turn it on, are you prompted with a "hardware installation" wizard? Or do you just see balloon notifications in the system tray? When the camera is plugged in, can you see it listed in the device manager? It might be listed with a yellow exclamation mark (start > right click on "computer" > properties > click the "device manager" link on the left panel) |

Why even try to install the camera? Use a card reader to offload your pics.

That's the best and easiest way.
But if you insist on geting thte drivers to wok for the camera be sure you have the latest(or all) service packs. The reason I say this, is back when I worked at Walmart's Photolab - the most popular solution to getting customers cameras to work on their computers was to have then install SP2 for XP. 8/9 out of 10 times the service pack solved thier problem with manufactures software not working.
