Laptop freezing and slow

Hi. My daughters laptop Presario CQ62-228DX with AMD V120 Processor 2.2, 3gb ram running win 7 keeps freezing or goes slow. Twice a message came up to say laptop was overheating although i didn't see that myself. Have run avg, malwarebyte , spybot and avg tuneup tests. Cleared a lot of rubbish but still no better. whats next. i have no disc to reinstall the system

Try using a can of compressed air and blowing out dust through the exhaust port on the laptop. Do the same for any other vents as well on the laptop.

These problems could be directly related to the laptop indeed overheating.

If you need to reinstall the system, read the manual to see how to do it using the recovery partition.

Ok here we go. I did a backup on my icybox. I then reinstalled the system through recovery. No it wont reconise my backup which i'm trying to reinstall.
