Using Windows 7: multiple screens on one monitor

So I have this 27 " LCD monitor, and Windows 7. How to I set up the monitor with two screens, so I can view an Excel spreadsheet and a browser window side by side?

ATI Catalyst video, display set up lets me see only screen # 1.

Ideas?

Bring up both apps.

Right click on the task bar and select Tile Windows Vertically

Thanks. I used it, the name now reads " Side by side " on Windows 7. Works perfectly.

Now I have to look at work to do the same thing, since we use a much older version of Windows there.

Thanks again.

Unmaximize each window, size and drag each one how you want it.

Hi

I'm surprised how many people don't seem to use Snap.

I use this constantly.

I open my browser and Word side by side and drag text back and forth.

I open two Windows Explorer windows side be side and drag stuff back and forth with out having to switch from drive to drive.

I open my E-Mail client side by side with Word and with Chrome.

I run Photoshop side by side with other programs etc. the list goes on.

I think this is the most useful new feature in Windows 7, I'd never want to be without it again.

Mike

I know, it's crazy. I showed to the office girl after I set her up with dual monitors and she could not believe it.
