Is my TRIM really enabled?
First, I'd like to say this Corsair 120GB SSD that I purchased on 08/08/2010, ~13,536 hours ago.
This CrystalDiskInfo program says Power On Count: 336 Power On Hours: 12,040 (Approximately only 2 months worth of hours of downtime) and it still runs like brand new! Ok so I went ahead and bought my brother an upgraded version of my 120GB Corsair Force SSD and a motherboard/processor. I started looking on corsair.com to see if there was any firmware upgrade and found some pdf files: How to optimize your SSD Boot Drive How to Enable Support for TRIM How to Check that TRIM is Active Now, the How To Enable Support for TRIM says to make sure you have ht e default Microsoft Storage Driver (MSAHCI) used. I don't think I'm using it. It shows the driver file is msahci.sys (I do have it in my drivers folder but they aren't using it) I'm not sure which one to check, but this is what I have: IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers > ATA Channel 0 (Under Drive Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys) > ATA Channel 0 (Under Drive Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys) > ATA Channel 0 (Under Drive Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys) > ATA Channel 1 (Under Drive Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys) > ATA Channel 1 (Under Drive Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys) > ATA Channel 1 (Under Drive Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys) > Intel(R) ICH10 Family 2 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 2 - 3A26 (Under Driver Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys, pciide.sys, pciidex.sys) > Intel(R) ICH10 Family 4 port Serial ATA Storage Controller 1 - 3A20 (Under Driver Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys, pciide.sys, pciidex.sys) > Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller (Under Driver Details: atapi.sys, ataport.sys, pciide.sys, pciidex.sys)

The Trim command should be enabled by default on Windows 7, but if you want to check to make sure do this:
Command prompt > fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify DisableDeleteNotify = 1 (Windows TRIM commands are disabled) DisableDeleteNotify = 0 (Windows TRIM commands are enabled) |

Well, if you read what the pdf file says, it says typing that command won't tell you if the drivers are sending the TRIM or not.

Well, I do not know what to tell you then because that is how to confirm TRIM is enabled.
