Remove user (administrator)

I'm running a dual boot Windows XP & Windows 7 and made a stupid mistake. I added a new user as a administrator and now even though I also am a administrator I can not delete or remove the same. The option is just not there.
I have even removed the registry key but it's still there.

Try booting into safe mode and log on as the Administrator.

The built-in Administrator account CANNOT be deleted.

The standard security practice is to rename the built-in Administrator
account, set a strong password on it, and use it only to create another
accounts for regular use, reserving the Administrator account as a "back
door" in case something corrupts your regular account(s).
