How to Set Default Drive for Downloads
I have the OS installed on an SSD (C drive) with an SATA drive (E) for storage. When I want to download and install a program, W7 doesn't have the Save Inbox pop up like XP does and it automatically installs on my SSD.
How do I set it up for downloads to install on the SATA (E) drive? |

change the registery setting back to the C drive and then manually change the drive locations for these programs. Any other suggestions on how to set it so that all downloads are installed on the secondary (E) drive and not filling up my SSD (C) drive? |

Try right cliking on the download link, and choosing 'save as'

Are you asking how to change the default download path or install path?

Thanks
You are so correct; seems like Microsoft spits out updates by the minute. |
