stuck at hal.dll
a windows startup process does not bring up the "splash animation", upon starting from safe mode it shows that it gets stuck after loading hal.dll.
upon some research I found out that hal.dll loads a bunch of drivers and then ntoskrn takes control. what do you think is preventing the boot process from going any further.

Is there more to story about the machine? Like a reason why you're trying to boot into safe mode?
Did you let it sit for at least five minutes at the spot where it looks like it's stuck?
