2questions-full HD
I am looking at someone's PC. A 149GB DR.
2GB free. wrong This women only surfs. no games, music, videos etc... The temp Internet folder seems to have eaten up all the space. Ive checked with space sniffer etc... Here is one question: On W7 Home, a lot of folders are showing as locked. Including APP DATA folder. I have the view option for folders to show everything, hidden,system.... Why are these folders locked and how can I unlock them? Ive tried using CCleaner, tracks eraser... Scaned with Eset. Kind of lost here. Want to clear out the temp folder but can't get in it. I'm logging on as ADMIN. thanks |

thanks
yea I did the tons of info thing. Sometimes I thinks its to much data
![]() I haven't figured out what is up with the PC I was working on but I did get it working well. A 140GB HD and it was showing only 2GB free. A older women (I never said older) , owns the PC and has no games or any other thing that would eat up 100+Gig's.A lot of programs would lock up, I think because of such small amount of free space. Using some space sniffer app it showed all the used space was in the internet TMP folder. When I went in the TOOL option and deleted them, there was still 100 some GB still showing there. And I could not get in the folder. Even using all the on-line info on "how to unlock...". To make a long story shorter, I got it all deleted. But there are what looks like way to many folders locked. And I don't know why. Logged on as admin etc.. scanned for viruses, spyware, malware, underware... Searched on the web. Anyway, thanks for the help as always. B |

thanks
That is what I ended up doing (also using Tracks Eraser) but had to untick all the boxes and do them one at a time.
There was around 100GIGs in the TMP internet files. It took like 6 hrs to del them all. A learning experience. Just seemed like a lot of space. Thanks |
