Windows group policy client service failed logon?

I get a popup window that says, Windows group policy client service failed logon, when I boot my computer. I Googled it but could not find an explanation of what it means in layman's terms or of its importance. What does this mean? Is it important for this logon to occur? If it is not important then how do I make it so this window no longer pops up? It would be nice if Microsoft added links in some of their more esoteric popups to explanations of what it means.

Are you connected to a domain? Or is this a stand-alone workstation?

Sounds like a corrupt User Profile. If there are additional users beyond the Admin one, delete them and create new ones. Of course, back up the files prior.
