Question Browser flashes off the screen

Hi Gang

Another strange one, I use IE and Google browsers. I can open IE ok and it goes to MSN, but if I try to open Google to MSN like I usually do it opens for a split second and flashes off the screen to the right and disappears.

Any ideas as to what this might be.? A bug or should I just down load Google again.? I have not changed any settings or programs, it was working ok one second and the next it started doing this.

Thanx....Gunny

First thing I'd do is uninstall Chrome, reboot, then reinstall it.

Hi GLC

Ok I will go ahead and do that as see what happens. Are you thinking that Google just got goofed up or a bug?

Thanx.....Gunny

You gotta start somewhere. System restore might be an option.

HI GLC

I tried the restore thing, no change. It is almost like it is thinking I have 2 monitors. Cause I have seen this action with people that have 2 monitors. How would it start thinking I have 2 monitors

Thanx....Gunny

Control panel, display, change display settings. Do you see 1 or 2 monitors?

HI GLC

Now it shows one large and one small monitor, how do you get rid of the one monitor.? Also when I click on the Google icon it goes from the icon to the icon and it says Gogle new tab.

Thanx....Gunny

If you have a dual head card, you can't get rid of the secondary monitor, just make sure it's not actually enabled as an extended display.

HI GLC

The first time I clicked on Display in the Control Panel that second monitor did not show up, but the second time it did and I did exactly what you said to do and that cured the problem. Another one of those mysteries I guess. It is still there but it is grayed out and inactive, till the next time something triggers it.

Thanx.....Gunny
