Reinstalling Internet Explorer

Isn't IE required to get MS updates? Seems a few years ago FF had an extension one could use. Anyway, I kept getting the below pop-up, but the numbers were always different, when I used IE 10. So uninstalled it, reinstalled and a nightmarish process began. I didn't even recognize the format, a solid white page, so uninstalled it again.

Here is original popup and the others are like it.

Never mind. Windows 8 and me just had our 4th divorce. Using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit as we speak. Seems I never learn...

What do you change more often - your OS or your skivvies?

Good question and takes some thinking on. A big part of me is about loyalty, giving everyone and everything chances after chances, no matter how many times I get shafted. I don't like to give up on folks or even software, but sometimes it's time to walk on down the road.

But to answer your question, the skivvies win, but not by much. :)
