Internet Explorer won't open my Comcast Home Page?

Hi

Here's a weird one.

Ever since I got my new computer with Windows 8 and IE10, it can't open my Comcast Home Page.

I always get a message that says something about compatibility and then it shows just the header and a blank page.

This isn't a big deal, I use Chrome, (mostly because of stuff like this) but how can it not be able to open a major web Page like Comcast?

What kind of compatibility are they talking about, and why can't it handle it?

Really strange, I've never seen anything like this before.

Pretty much everything else opens but I think I did run into a couple of other pages that gave the same message.

That aside it still seem much more difficult to use then programs like Chrome.

For fun, hit F12 and when box opens at bottom, choose IE 9 and see what happens. Do this with IE 10 open, regardless of what it looks like. Btw, the 4 times I removed Win 8 was because of issues with IE 10. Don't have any in Win7

Hi Guys

Since I posted the message I've gone through every compatibility option and what have you that you can set it to.

And I added Comcast to the compatibility list.

I've also discovered that a lot of other people have this issue too.

And I remembered that I had exactly the same issue last year on my old computer, also running Windows 8 and IE 10.

Today I tried a lot of my links from Chrome and I found that the Elder Scrolls Online web page also shows the same errors.

I'm just going to forget about it like I did last year and stick with using Chrome.

It seems easier to use anyway.

I also did some side by side comparison of the same web pages in IE and Chrome and Chrome does a much better job of fitting the contents into the space available.

I always assumed that the page would look the same in any browser.

Mike
