De frag

I have a desktop computer running Windows 7. If I defrag with Auslogics defrag it does it in no time. If I straight afterwards run the Microsoft de-fragger, it takes ages and makes many passes.
My question is which one is accurate and the best to use?
Thank you, Jack UK.

I use Auslogics and don't recommend using two different ones...

I use defraggler.

Does anyone know how efficient the Windows defrag is, and is it as good or better than independent ones from the web?

Now a days, defragging isn't as important as it used to be. With the huge increase in CPU performance, one hardly notices any differences in disk read/write performance.

You could test this yourself. It appears that you last used the Windows version... Wait a few weeks and use the other one you have to test and see if you notice any difference.
