Clean old computer ??

I have a two year old Dell computer that came with Windows 7. Last November I upgraded to Windows 8 when they had that special offer. I downloaded that ISO file, converted it and installed it on this computer. All is fine. Now I am going to sell this computer. Normally I would wipe the entire hard drive, to make sure all my private information, passwords etc are gone, and reinstall everything. Not sure what to do in this case, since the DVD I made was an upgrade etc. Suggestions please, Mike

Use the Dell recovery software to reinstall W7 and then decide if you want to rerun the W8 upgrade again?

rjfvillarosa----Thanks for the reply. I was hoping there was an easier way, than to reinstall Windows 7 and then do the upgrade to Win. 8 Maybe I will just try to delete all my personal info. including passwords etc. I am selling the computer to a cousin, so if I miss something, it should not be a big deal. Although I will have to figure out how to remove my email at the Welcome when it first boots up. Mike

Are you sure your cousin even wants Win 8?

glc---I have installed Classic Shell, so it looks like Windows 7, but has the added security and speed of Windows 8. Mike

Since when is Win 7 insecure and slow?

I did not say Win 7 was insecure. I said it has ADDED SECURITY, per Microsoft anyway. And it does boot up and shutdown about 5 seconds faster than Win 7. I just couldn't pass up the offer to upgrade to Win 8 for $20 back in the fall. I just hated the new look, and from what I read, many others also hate the new look. That is why I installed Classic Shell.
