Vista 32 Bit

I don't get it... it seems as the only versions of Vista that are out is a 32-bit. What the heck? I thought it was a 64 bit OS...

Vista is not even supposed to be sold for another week. What's your big hurry? Do you like driver hell?

Word to the wise - SP1 is already under development.............

What do you mean driver hell? lol... oh... reinstalling all of my drivers? lol..

And with SP1 already being under development... do you mean that they are selling it with bugs already, and have a jump on the pack?

64 bit driver support is bad enough for XP 64 - you think at this stage of the game - release date still a week away - Vista 64 bit driver support is going to be any better???????

Darn right they are selling it with bugs - XP was just as bad during the early days.

I'm sure it will - but why tear your own hair out till it is? I wouldn't touch XP with a 10 foot pole till it was well into SP1 - in fact, I still have 2K on this machine and I didnt get that till it was on SP2.

I agree with GLC, Look at the security leaks in XP Home/Pro before Service Pack 1. Man, couldn't be online for 5 minutes without 10 viruses. Vista may be the same, and you got to have a nice system to run it.

It's neat looking, but other than Direct X 10 and the built in backup utility I'm sticking with XP until I buy a game that just wont run, or a program that just won't install.

Maximum PC is saying 10 reasons not to upgrade to vista, my favorite; #9 "It's kinda anoying" lol.
