Anti-Virus Solutions for Vista x64?

Hi all, question here. I am currently using Vista x64 and the only working anti-virus software that I have been able to find is Avast. I am looking for something more along the lines of McAfee for virus managment, however the only article about this I have been able to find is in regards to McAfee Enterprises 8.5.

Looking for anyone who would know more about this subject, and give options for virus solutions. I'm sure i'm not the only person interested.

Tony

I use NOD32 on both my laptop and desktop and it is excellent on normal 32-bit WinXP. They have 64-bit Vista downloads and if it's anything like their WinXP 32-bit, I highly suggest you look into it.

I'd go with AVG.. Seems to work alright. Avast is good too. I'd never use McAfee or Norton again.

Trend Micro should be coming out with versions compatible both 32/64 bit versions of Vista. They are finishing up their beta for PC-Cillin 2007 and it should be released soon. Existing licenses of PC-Cillin can be used with the Vista version. I recently bought mine PCC2k7 at $49 for 3 licenses.

Addendum: Just noticed that its already out - http://www.trendmicro.com/en/product...quirements.htm. I will be dumping AVG and migrating my existing license to Trend Micro this evening

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe AVG offers a 64bit compatible FREE version. Only the Professional version is 64 compatible.

Performed an installation on Vista 32bit and 64 bit with Trend Micro PC-Cillin 2007 and it works flawlessly! Am glad to be on something that I know works well for me - I've used Trend Micro products for close to a decade now.
