Issues Installing Vista

I have tried 3 or so times now to get Vista to install on my new computer. I think the first time it just stalled after restart on completing installation. The second time, it poped up a blue screen with something about a Pool Error. And the third time, it flashed the screen twice, then went to a black screen with a mouse on it. ANy ideas?

I have:
E6600 Core 2
Asus P5N-E Mobo
2x 8800GTS EVGA Cards
WD 300g drive
2 GB RAM
Soundblaster X-FI
CD Drives, Floppy, etc

Thanks for the help!

After running memtest, looks like the memory is finiky. Spoz to support SLI-Ready, but setting that in BIOS kicks TONS of errors in one module. Tryed manually turing the voltage up, but no effect. Even with SLI-ready off i still get some errors. Will have to head over to the ram guy for further investigation

UPDATE: Turns out the Mobo is a little wierd and requires you to input all the timings manually, raise the command timing to 2 and change 2 advanced options. After doing some things off the memory forum got it working fine!

1. Is the ram on the Asus QVL list?
2. Have you tried installing with only one video card?
3. Are all peripherals disconnected except keyboard, mouse, and monitor?
4. What are you using for a PSU?

As mentioned I figured out the problem was just that you need to change a few of the advanced timing settings in order to get things working. Seems that the board defaults were a little intense for the ram
