Help with regedit
So I built my pc with the help of everyone here and installed windows vista perfectly fine but then i noticed the same thing as everyone else, THOSE HUGE SHORTCUT ARROWS. So I found a site that said to just delete the lnkfile so thats what i did but the next day I found out that games explorer didnt work and the cause of it was the lnkfile missing from regedit. So is there anyway I can get the file or someone show me how to create it and put it in the regedit?
Edit: I fixed the problem all I did was go to this site http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/ and download the uninstall then restarted and everything worked. Last edited by grumpytreto; 02-28-2007 at 02:02 PM. |

Always a good idea to run a back up of the registry area you are going to modify BEFORE you make the change. That way you can undo the registry change if you need too. You might also have been able to recover by using System Restore and selecting a restore point prior to the registry change.

System restore was the first thing I tried, and it didnt work. So I went to the site that said how to take the arrow off and there was a file to put the arrow back on
