This has been an annoying one. You are surfing the net and you click on a link. A new window opens but it is pretty small. You can actually make the window the size and in the position you want by doing this:

  • Click on a link to open a new window or hold down the shift key while clicking on a link (this will always open a new window).
  • Resize the window to the size that you want. Move it to the position that you want.
  • Hold down the shift key while closing the window.
  • That's it. Next time a window opens it will be that size and in that position.

I am sure that there may be other ways to do it but this works perfectly.

Thanks Mairving, I've wanted to know how to do that for ages.

It looks like the only problem is that when you close your browser it reverts back to the previous settings.
