You could try out this article. Not sure if it is all that you need, but I guess it's a start to help you better understand what does what incase you don't already know.
Also, building from the ground up really isn't much different from installing components now and then, you just do it all at once . With a lil time and effort spent in making good choices for different computer pieces, the actual building is easy as can be.PS-You may want to do a thing like pick a price limit, then AMD or Intel. Then figure out a motherboard and processor that work together and have all the required things, then look for compatibkle memory and a graphics card that suits your needs. Then find a case you like and get a good PSU if one is not already installed. HD's and CD/DVD drives come last and you just select a good quality unit(just like you did with all the other components) and bam... your done. Monitors/Keyboard/mice/speakers can all be bought without really taking into account other pieces, which is why I left them out. Gl and happy building

Welcome to PC Mech forums
![]() We can pretty much help you with the parts and if you may have any questions on the build aspect. PC Mech has a Build Your Own PC guide, which should help you putting together the components. I would start by picking a reasonable price range, then the absolute maximum you want to spend - you have to cut the line somewhere. By the way, shouldn't this thread go into General Hardware? ![]() Hope that helps, kram
