How do you get the desktop to display stats?

How do you get your desktop to display info about your pc such as OS, hard drive space available, memory, etc?

Welcome to PC Mech forums

Download a program called Everest Home Edition - run it, and it will tell you almost absolutely anything you would ever need to know about the Hardware/OS.

Hope that helps,
kram

Ditto's on the Welcome. Another program that I use in addition to Everest Home, is the Belarc advisor. It will give you a detailed list of software, the OS, what mainboard you're using, hotfixes, drives, etc...
