Contact for refurbishing laptop batteries.

Sent my old IBM laptop battery to this place in Miami with $29 and they replaced the interior with japanese cells and electronics for $29 inc. shipping,
versus $44 plus $12 shipping offered by others on Ebay. It seems to hold charge and recharge well- neat job- you can't see any work was done on it.

check home page for other (nonIBM) batteries.
Chris.

Battery backups are usually sealed lead acid or gel cells, not NiMH or Li-Ion. What model is your UPS?

It's just a generic UPS. I only paid $49.00 for it. Replacement cells from the mfg. are $79.00 thus my interest in rebuilding the one in it.

If you can get a size, type, and voltage on the battery, you can probably buy a cheap generic battery for it. The APC's we deal with will take generic $16 batteries - same damn battery that APC sells for 60 bucks. They are 12 volt 7.5 amp sealed lead acid with pushon blade terminals.

That's what these are. They want $25.99 for the generic here. Where do you get them for $16.00.

I get them from Batteries Plus with a commercial account. They have a Memphis store, it's easy to open an account, bring your tax resale certificate and a business card. Their shelf price is $25.99. The exact discount percentage is manager's discretion.
