Smile Moving Microsoft Outlook

I am wondering how to move my stored emails and address book from Microsoft Outlook on one computer to Outlook on a new computer. This may be an easy task, I just haven't found it yet.

go to file->import/export. export it as a .pst file (personal file folder) and then make sure you select the top of your tree and check the box for include subfolders, or, just export the folders you want. in your new computer, import the file and you are good to go

There's another way that transports the file completely intact. On your old computer, enable hidden files and folders (Tools > Folder Options > View tab). On 2000/XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook; on 9x/ME, go to C:\Windows. Copy the file OUTLOOK.PST from the folder you opened to your new computer. Open Outlook, have it create a data file, and put the old one in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook, replacing the data file that was just created.
