Slow Computer - Need Help!
My girls age 8 and 12 have a computer that is painfully slow. Opening Windows Explorer takes at tleast 1 minute... Opening a second might take 2 minutes.
Boot takes a good 5-7 minutes. They use AIM, yahoo, they dl all kinds of music and games. I use Ad-Aware and Norton's Anti-Virus. I am pretty sure that the computer is pretty clean. There is one virus called counter.exe that i cannot get rid of. What steps should I take to get this once healthy computer back up to normal operations. Thanks!

"counter.exe" is a dialer program called 'worldcontent'
Try running Spybot S&D It's free and a very useful tool for eliminating Spyware. |
