well, if you MUST know, I bid on a computer on Ebay -no reserve...won the auction, and now the seller (who I am sure doesn't like that I won a loaded Plll 600 for $300) has put a block on my email attempts. Ebay customer service insists that I have to work this out between us. Although at this point I have given up ever thinking that I will be able to actually get the PC, I would love to write just one last poison pen mail.....

Do it right - just make a negative comment and tell the whole sordid story. If you want to still try to e-mail him, open a new free web based email account and use that. Hotmail, Yahoo, Myrealbox, whatever.

thanks for the advice, but I consider keeping my comments private rather than posting something public is "doing it right". opening a free account with hotmail or such is what I considered at first...just wondered if there was a way to do it anonymously from my own mail program....

Go to this link and open up a free e-mail under any name. I suggest www.racemail.com if it is still there since all you need is a user name and a password. Then abandon the account.

Dan,
Though this may be a late response to your thread, you should really make a posting on e-bay. This way that jerk#%# can help be exposed to other bidders who might think to give him some of their well earned money. Not to mention, at one time or another we were all new to this field of computing and getting off on a good start is definitely much better. If his business ethics are bad just think about his attitude towards workmanship. Good Luck. KTA |
