Default Program Files Location

If you have a multi partioned harddrive or multi drive pc you have it setup so your system drive is usually smaller to make backups easier. Only problem is that all the software that you install wanst to install to C:\Program Files by default. If you wnat to specify another directory you can do so by editing the registry (after you back it up of course). Just follow these instructions:

1. Click run and type "regedit.exe"
2. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
3. Find ProgramFilesDir in the right hand pane whose default should be C:\Program Files
4. Change this to whatever directory you wish. I changed it to D:\Program Files for example.

Remember you have to reboot for your changes to show.

I didn't come up with this but I have had it on my computer for a long time and I just found it again. I Don't know where I got this so i can't give the proper credit to the author sorry.
