Best Drive Backup That Works 4 Me.

Last time I experimented with Backup Software was around 5 years ago and all
were terrible, (errors all over). ***NERO*** WAS/IS BEST/CHEAP/FREE BY FAR!

1:Install WinXP Pro onto Drive C:, install drivers/firmware, critical
software, settings etc. (make sure it doesnt take up too much of your drive's
space as you want the backup/restore/format process to be nice and quick.
2:Install any large Software/Games onto Drive D:. Dont worry about the
your personal files. Almost every Sofware/Application/Game has option to
Save your work onto a different location, ex: DISKETT, CD, DVD, Flas Drive etc.
So keep your large installations on a seperate drive (ex:\) and back up fresh
data and personal information onto a seperate location.

**************************************************************************
The following procedures will Save you space on your Drives and Boost
your system Performance, Save you time during format of Drive (C:\)
speed up the backup/restore process up to 200%. Guessing you dont
install Large Software/Game on your C: Drive You should be around
1.8GB's. The page file should be disabled only if you have over 1GB
of Hard RAM Installed. note that WinXP Pro requires around 256MB2RUN.
**************************************************************************
"Disabling Page File"
1:Right click on "My Computer"> Select "Properties"
Or "Windows Logo+R" (Open the Run dialog box)> sysdm.cpl>
2:Click "Advanced"> Under Performance click "Settings"
(As demonstrated in figure "10a")> click "Advanced"
(As demonstrated in figure "10b")> click "Change"
3:Select Each Drive [Volume Label] and select "No paging file"
for each one.
4:Click OK Three (3) Times. Restart The Computer/PC. (REBOOT).
**************************************************************************
"Disabling System Restore"
1:Right click on "My Computer"> Select "Properites"> Select
"System Restore"> Check the "Turn off System Restore on all drives"
Box.
**************************************************************************

Last thing left is to backup onto a dvd or cd's Using Nero Drive backup. (I'd Recommend a DVD as it has almost 6X the copacity limit.
