Hi, This is my first post and here's a little tip i picked up, for other newbies like me;
Right click my computer-->click on Properties-->click on Advanced-->in the performance tab,click on Settings-->click on Advanced and in the Virtual Memory box click on Change-->select the No Paging file button and click on Set-->after clicking on OK and Apply you will be offered the option to restart-->select it and on restart defragment your drives. Repeat the above steps till you get to change. After that its upto you whether to select a System managed or Custom size. Now you will have a brand new paging file and no "some files could not be defragmented..." message after defragmenting.

If you do not choose custom and set the minimum and maximum to the same, the pagefile will refragment.

I'll probably run a tip about this utility in the near future. |

It's about time something like that was created. I've been using Diskeeper Pro to do boot-time defrags.

worked for me, the idea is to defragment after the no page file selection and reboot stage, and then create a custom size. The new custom size that i create is equal to or greater than the previous page file size.

I had no reason to look for it - I've been using Diskeeper Pro since I had a NT 4.0 box. That goes back close to 10 years - NT 4 didn't have a builtin defrag at all. I've been installing it on every build I do, doing the boot-time to set the pagefile and MFT, then uninstalling it before release to the customer.
