Eye care tips...

It seems a monitor glass filter is not enough.
Any tips?

It really depends on what kind of filter you are using. One of the shops around here where I live refuses to sell the $20 kind, his run for about $100-$150 and the people that use them all claim they really do make a difference.

A decent monitor to begin with makes a big difference as well. Personally, I have sensitive eyes and can still see a flicker at 85Hz, so I choose a monitor that will support 100Hz and no longer suffer from eye strain.

Thanks alot HAL9000, my cheapo monitor only supports 70Hz @ 1024 by 768. I'm getting a new one, a bigger one this christmas and would be considering buying a decent one.

If I may ask, Hal, what monitor are you using?

Can you recomend some 17" and 19" monitors that support 100 Hz?

Both of my monitors at home are Cybervision C72 .25 17" with Diamondtron tubes manufactured by Viewsonic. They're a nice monitor that I've had for about 2 years, but I don't think Viewsonic manufactures them under the Cybervision name anymore.
