Auto-Logon & Auto-Lock Workstation
Since no one has posted this in this section of the forums, I figured I would write one up...
If you're like myself (with a password protected computer) then logging on to your Windows computer can sometimes drag on. Depending on how many applications and programs you have set to run at startup, startup can take a while. This tip/trick will automatically log on to your workstation and automatically lock it so everything that runs at startup will run while you workstation is locked. This allows you to just simply press the power button on your PC, walk away and get some food or coffee and by the time you come back, everything will have been loaded and you can log on to your PC without sitting and waiting for Windows to load everything. First thing you want to do is allow Windows to automatically log on. Do the following... Quote:
