Quick Launch Bar In Windows 7
I know you can pin things to the taskbar, but I found this and I really liked it in XP and this shows how to do it in Windows 7.

The problem with Quick Launch in Win 7 is that it consumes too much of taskbar real-estate.

I prefer rocketdock
 Add your own icons for programs and it is stylish :P
