Right click on an empty area on desktop.Choose properties, then click on screensaver.Click on the dropdown menu below the screensaver heading and select 3d text.Click on settings. When dialogue box appears click on text(top left corner)Type volcano in the display.Click ok then apply.Close dialogue boxes and save your changes.Whenever the screensaver launches or you press preview,a list of volcano names, from around the world will appear one by one(thanks computeractive)

you can make your own 'lists' too

To make the Win95/Win98 3D Text screensaver
display whatever text you want, add the following
text to your Control.ini file:

---------Add to the control.ini file-------------

[Screen Saver.3DText]
magic=c:\windows\magic.txt

-------------------------------------------------

At the path specified in the entry above, in this
case 'c:\windows', make a file with the name used
in the entry above, in this case 'magic.txt'.

---------Contents of the magic.txt file----------

-lines
line1
line2
Another Line
Last Line

-words
Run
Walk
Shout
Jump

-------------------------------------------------

Create as many sections as you want and place at
the top of the section a hyphen and the section
title. ('-lines' for example)

In each section place a group of words you want
the screensaver to display.

When you type in the section title in the text field
in the screensaver setting menu, the 3D Text
screensaver will cycle through the list of entries
and will display the entries in random order.

Not sure, but it seems to me that it didn't work on all versions of Windows.

Unhappy

I have Win 2K and my guess is that is why it won't work.
