If you buy a window to install in your case, you will no doubt be fustrated by the installation. Here's how you do it. My case is made of aluminum. Cut the hole using a jig saw. I used a saber saw with a couple of new blades. I finished up with a pair of tin snips. Make sure you tape the under side with masking tape to protect it from scratches. No big deal here. Next comes the fustrating stuff, installing the window in the cheap rubber gasket. Begin by using masking tape to hold the window gasket in place. I used tape every three inches to hold gasket in place. Next slice open the masking tape covered window gasket groove. Do not remove the masking tape. Slide the window into the gasket groove. Now slice open the masking tape covered groove the locking strip fits into. Insert the locking strip, and you are almost done. Finally remove the masking tape. Good Luck!
A car's rear red reflector lens can be added to case fronts, and a red lazer led installed behind that to give a computer that HAL look. |

When I installed a window kit in my aluminum case it was 2 hours of hell... It is easier to buy a case with a window in it and looks cleaner. I love doing hand made mods on my machines but those window kits are a bitch!
