Thumbs up

Right click on the start button and select 'open'. Create a new folder called

Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

(I suggest a copy and paste
Now you have your Control panel scrolls out just like the programs do!

Help me out. I'm doing something wrong here. Created new folder and renamed it Cntl Panel. But when I try to right click Control Panel to do a copy I don't get the option to do a copy. I've tried from both Start/Settings/control panel and My Computer/control panel.
Thanks
Chas

You dont copy the control panel, you need to make a new folder and name with the exact text thats in the first post.

This didn't work for me, either. Is there a space after the period after the words Control Panel?
After I typed it all in I simply closed and went to Start and then up to the new folder. Said it was empty. When you have created this new entry on the start menu should all those numbers and letters after the name Control Panel be appearing?
Please step through this once more. Also, on the first post it said try copy and paste. I could not figure that one out either.

Yes, the folder must be named;

Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

for it to work. As samsonAOD stated, it might be easier to highlight the above string and copy it, then when you name the folder, paste the string in.

Bout ready to give up on this one. I highlighted the entire string. I right clicked START and chose OPEN then New Folder. Then I clicked rename and (1st) tried paste with new folder still there and then (2nd)clicked and hit backspace once to delete out the words new folder. Both ways when I was ready to paste the paste function was greyed out not black, not an option. Is your method different from this? I opened Notepad just to make sure I had copied the string and it pasted fine in notepad. What am I doing wrong?

Use the Ctrl key and the V at the same time to paste.

Drag your mouse over top of this to highlight it:

Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

Let go of the mouse.

Hit CTRL and C at the same time.

It's now "pasted" in the clipboard.

Right click the Start Button, select Open.

Click File, New, select Folder.

Hit CTRL and V at the same time.

Hit Enter.

Done.

Thanks reboot. I don't know why I couldn't get it to work per instructions, but worked fine with your instructions.
