Look like a cd drive?
Customize Drive Icons
Most of us know that you can simply create shortcuts to all the drive icons in My Computer, and then change the icons of the shortcuts. This solution, while relatively easy, is quite limited, especially since the icons aren't reflected in Explorer. Using some of the knowledge from the way Autorun CD's work, there's a simple way to customize your drive icons (for hard disks, floppy disks, and removables): Using a text editor (such as Notepad), type the following: [autorun] icon=filename, number where filename is the name of the file containing the icon (either an ICO, DLL, or EXE file), and number is the index of the icon to use (leave this blank to use the first icon in the file). Save the file as AUTORUN.INF in the root directory of the hard disk you wish to change. |

Sorry I should have been more specific. What I want to do is copy a CD to a partition and install the CD from there. For getting around games that require a CD to be inserted while you play sometimes you can just copy the CD to a partition and install from there. My problem is that some are getting too smart for me and will look for a valid CD drive.
I have found one solution so far it’s a program called ‘Virtual CD’ that does this but I’m trying to find a free solution. Thanks |

Hmm. I do not know of any free solution.
OK Try Game Copy World and look for a NO CD crack for the game you are trying to play. I hope that helps [Edited by hackercarlos on 09-22-2000 at 07:48 PM]
