Lightbulb Cluster Size

I've used a little trick I picked up from a website that is now at:
systweak.com
which is to format HD and depending on the size of the HD, (there is a chart at the website) with larger cluster size than the default 4k. I relaize I may waste space that way but when I defrag it says my AVERAGE file size is 250k, so I doubt I'm even wasting that much space, and with the size of todays drives, the explanation and chart on this website really made sense to me. I'm using the max 64k clusters now an it does seem to perform well!! Any thoughts or other ideas on the subject??

Yeah - sometimes when you use nonstandard cluster size, Windows will refuse to run a scandisk.

I have no prob with chkdsk, or defrag, and according to the article because I have fewer clusters I gain speed, but the downside is that I may be wasting space!
