I just had to post this.
For those of us, and those that may have thought about it, but never tried, I found the neatest little boot manager.
This puppy allows you to boot from any partition on any hard drive in your system. It's free, and includes Ranish partition manager as well (also free).

Notes: I had previously 4 different OS's on this particular machine, each on their own drive, so I could select in BIOS which one to boot. What a pain, entering BIOS setup each restart to select my OS. Installed xosl, and moved all 4 OS's to different partitions on 1 drive, and now I have 3 spare hard drives! (Now, where did that MP3 link go )
