I just found this by accident the other day in ME. I would assume that it also works in 98. In Device Manager, double click the Computer icon at the top. This brings up a list of IRQ's being used (system information). Pretty handy.

I've just noticee that it allows you to reserve IRQ's, DMA's I/O and memory too. Curiosity is getting the better of me and I wanna fiddle with the settings now. ...So I'll probably screw something up! lol
