Yeah, I ran across their knowledge base awhile back but never really read alot in it. Seems like a good source of info though. Maybe one exception though. In the General FAQ there was this question:

Q. Does the "DTK OEM" power supply fan that came with my mid-tower, Enlight 7230 series case blow outside air into the case or does it blow air within my case to the exterior?

A. By standard design, the ATX power supply should take air from outside the case into the power supply and blow onto the microprocessor. You should have your case fan, typically mounted in the front of the case, do exactly the opposite by blowing the hot air out of your case.

Apparently they've never stuck their hands behind the case to feel the air that is blowing out of the power supply.

The *original* 7230 had the original ATX power supply that did in fact suck air in. Looks like they need to update their FAQ, that spec changed in 1998. It was originally designed this way to allow the power supply fan to cool a Pentium 2 with a passive heatsink. The fan was not mounted in the back hole, it was mounted inside right above the processor.

Seems like I have tore into a few cases where the fan was mounted on the bottom of the PS unit, very near the processor. However I don't remember actually checking to see what direction the Fan Blew.

Hmmm...I wasn't aware of that glc. Of course, I've never worked with the 7230 case but every power supply I've ever seen has always blown out. I just thought that's how they all did. Good to know otherwise.

I seem to recall that some ATX power supplies did have a fan on the bottom of the power supply to blow air down onto the CPU heatsink. A lot of people didn't like this and argued that the setup didn't make sense...why have the power supply blow warmed up air down onto a hot heatsink? They would yank the weird power supply out of the case and install a regular power supply that blew air out of the case (I remember reading about this over at the ArsTechnica Case and Cooling Fetish Forum where I used to hang out a lot before I found this Forum).
