networked file sharing
Just playing around and discovered something that can save some storage space. File sharing on an XP Network not only allows you to access designated files on other computers on the network, it also allows you to use downloaded programs like PCMark2002 and Western Digital's Data Lifeguard. You don't have to store them on both PC's to use them. Just designate for shared files on one computer and access and run from the other. Doesn't seem to work for stuff like MS Word or Power Point tho.

That should work for anything that installs "standalone" that doesn't have to write files to the Windows directory or make registry entries.
