How to Remove MSN Messenger From Windows XP.
If you cant find it to remove in Control panel Add/remove programs Run this By Start-Run.
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove That should help you to remove MSN Messenger 4.7 which did come with XP a year ago. Should still work for current versions though. EDIT: Ok so this was already posted after even more time searching for it.

I used a similar fix that worked well. Every other fix still couldnt keep it from loading after the SP1 was installed.
