This anti-virus actually runs from the web browser itself. All you have to do is go to the site and have it perform an online scan – and it works!
To note: You do need a better-than-average fast broadband connection, else it will take a really long time to pre-load the virus definition database so the scan can run.
In addition, this anti-virus is platform independent. Got Windows? Got Mac? Got Linux? It runs on all three.

This one’s been around for quite a few years now. Whilst it’s a great concept; I personally have issues with antivirus produced by Trend Micro due to a bad experience with it in the past; back in my early XP days.
There’s also a Symantec online scan…Yes I know what you’re thinking, as am I; but out of the two I’d rather use Symantec as I personally feel it’s slightly more efficient

I have used Trend Micro for years. Their product rates as well or better than Symantec year after year. The difference is Tech Support. FREE. Call Symantec and see what they want to charge you to help you clean a machine their software didn’t protect. Once had a Trend Engineer log into a machine I was working on and spend an hour and a half working to clean it for me. Got it cleaned too.
That is Tech Support that is worth the price of the software.
