Hiring Someone Else To Do Your Web Site Programming

I will state up front that WordPress, even though well known as a blog is actually a CMS (Content Management System). As such, you can make it do just about anything. It can literally act as the full web site. Just look at PCMech and its Premium system you’re in now. It’s all WP powered. Yes, it’s been modified somewhat but at its core is still WP.

Dave can program. I can program. But you not be able to. You may be in the situation where there only thing preventing launching your business web site is the fact you can’t program. That’s okay because many business owners face this same situation no matter what business it is.

Even though you cannot program, you do have a very definitive idea of what you want to happen with your site. You may want to tie in PayPal or other credit card processing to your site to sell products. You may want to spruce the site up with some professionally made graphics. The only problem is that you don’t know where to go looking for people like this, and don’t know if you can afford it.

Chances are you already know where to go but have been acting as the job seeker and not the employer.

Here are a few places to help you out:

The one that probably made you wince is Craigslist. Yes, Craigslist. The site that has a million and one uses – including finding programmers and graphic artists. Trust me, that site is teeming with folks that are willing to work for almost pennies. Use it to your advantage.

Had no luck at the places mentioned above? Have you considered hiring from the Philippines, India or Russia?

To people who have never heard of doing such a thing before, it sounds crazy. It’s not. Web site owners do it all the time for one reason: It saves a crapload of cash and you get the same work done.

If you’ve run into the situation where the prices you’ve been quoted locally are just outright ridiculous, go international. It works.

Try Google searches for “hire indian programmer” or “hire philippines programmer” or “hire russian programmer”. You will not only find places ready to offer services but also guides on how to hire so you don’t lose your money.

Remember: Stick with WordPress; that’s why I mentioned it at the top of this article. It will make other programmers be able to program your site much easier compared to a from-scratch solution which would cost more and take three times as long to deploy (or longer).
