Back in 2009 AMD introduced VISION. This is an attempt by AMD to make it easier to purchase a PC. There are several types of VISION, which I’ll cover in a moment.
The Help Me Choose is the best place to start to see what you get for specific VISION, but here’s a quick cheat-sheet:
VISION – Basic PC
VISION Premium – What most people would be shopping for with a computer. Powerful and speedy.
VISION Ultimate – For gamers.
VISION Black – The fastest bleeding-edge hardware you can get. For "hardcore" gamers.
Bear in mind VISION can be applied whether purchasing a pre-built or building your own.
This NewEgg promo link: http://promotions.newegg.com/AMD/VSN0310/
..shows links to do-it-yourself bundles that you can purchase right now that conform to specific VISION specs, and laid out in such a way that’s easy to understand. Make sure to scroll to the bottom to see the bundles available.
You’ll get a much better grasp on what VISION is by examining that NewEgg page.
If after reading it you say to yourself, "I think I could have figured that out on my own without AMD giving it a ‘friendly’ name", don’t be surprised. This VISION stuff is largely just an attempt by AMD to make their product line easier to understand.. even though it confused more than helped.
