Even though Windows 7 is the current version of Windows from Microsoft, there are going to be a bunch of you that are still going to use XP for a good while yet, if not on your primary PC then your secondary or maybe a makeshift home server.
I’ve been writing an extensive guide on how to “rebuild” XP, meaning to install from scratch. And no, this is not the same stuff you’ve seen before. It will include lots of information on how to handle Dell-branded specific XP discs, what to download and more importantly what not to download from Windows Update, information on .NET and why you need it (you may have seen it in Windows Update), and more.
