Helping Normal People Get Their Geek On

Advertising

PCMech.com (formerly known as PC Mechanic) is a highly trafficked technology blog. We are currently generating about 850,000 page views monthly from about 270,000 unique visitors. We have 18,000+ subscribers to our tip of the day and 24,000+ subscribers to our weekly newsletter. The site targets consumers interested in computers and technology. Many of our readers are technology enthusiasts. Many of our readers also come to the site to find information on how to fix, optimize, upgrade or build their own computers.

Our conversion to the blog format was recent. The site has been online for many years before the switch to the blog format. So, while new to the blog scene, PCMech is now among most highly trafficked blog sites on the internet.

PCMech offers multiple ways to build your brand and get your message to our large readership.

PCMech Sponsorship

As our recent conversion to the blog format settles down, we are newly offering official “PCMech Sponsor” slots. Each sponsor gets at 125×125 button ad to display in the right sidebar of every page on the site. We are, at this time, offering a maximum of 6 sponsor slots. Pricing for sponsorship is set at $500 per month per button. Due to direct on-site placement of the ad code (no click trackers), this is great for consistent exposure as well as getting search engine rankings for your business.

If you are interested in securing a sponsorship position, send your ad to drisley@pcmech.com.

728×90 Top Banner Placement

The 728×90 ad appears at the top of every page, including in the forums. This is premium real estate on the site. Pricing for a rotational spot is set at $750 per month.

180×90 Static Top Placement

The 180×90 ad appears at the top of every page of the site, including the forums. It appears just to the left of the 728×90 ad spot. Unlike the 728×90, though, this ad spot is NOT rotated. This means there is only one slot available on the entire site for that real estate. And like the sponsorships, the static placement means you get full SEO benefit of being placed on this site. Pricing for this premium ad placement is set at $1,750 per month.

Logistics and Getting Started

All pricing is set on a per-month basis. It’s much easier for us to bill and easier on accounting. We do not offer any free trial-runs. We will, however, explore potential one-week trials on a pro-rated, non-discounted rate. All campaigns must be pre-paid for either the full length of the campaign or one month, whichever is greater. We can process Checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express or Paypal. All monthly sponsorships will be set up as a monthly subscription which is automatically billed each month. To cancel a campaign, simply email us and we’ll take care of it.

To get started, just send your banner and any questions to David directly at drisley@pcmech.com. The Paypal email address is the same for those wishing to get started right away by submitting payment via Paypal.

More About PCMech

Started in 1997 by David Risley (Founder/CEO of PC Media, Inc., the company which now owns and operates this site), PCMech fulfills a unique niche online for the field of personal computing: we cater to people of all ranges of expertise. While we deliver technical information for the savvy IT professional, we also dedicate ourselves to providing useful content to those new to PC ownership. This service has earned us mentions in many media outlets including, but not limited to: Yahoo Internet Life, PC World, the Wall Street Journal, Access Internet Magazine, Windows Magazine, as well as many international publications. For this reason, we have all types of people visiting our site from many walks of life. One of the things they have in common, though, is an interest in personal computing. Many of our visitors are looking to upgrade their PCs. Many are looking to build a new PC. For this reason, advertising on PCMech puts your ad in front of the eyes of people who are likely to purchase your products.

PCMech is a member of the Tech Dispenser blog network. We also publish all of our videos to Youtube, Metacafe, Revver, DailyMotion, Blip.Tv, and Brightcove.
