Want to change your profile picture for your Windows 10 user? It helps differentiate it between the other users on the computer and also personalizes your user a tad bit more. It’s really easy to change, too. Follow along below and we’ll show you how to do it in just a few steps!
Changing your profile picture
First, open the Start menu and head into the Settings menu.
From there, you’ll want to click on Accounts and head over to the Your Info tab.
Finally, we can create/set the profile picture for your user. You essentially have two options here. If you have a webcam built into your laptop or computer (or even one hooked up) you can use the Camera button to create a profile picture right from there.
If you don’t have one or just don’t want to take a webcam photo, you can select Browse for one to open up File Explorer to find any photo you want to throw in there. Once you open File Explorer with that button, you can navigate your computer’s directory to find the photo you’d like. Once you locate it, simply select the photo and press the Choose picture button.
And that’s all there is to it. It’s a really simple process that adds just a little bit more personalization to your user account. If you get stuck or have questions, be sure to leave a comment in the comments section below or join us over on the PCMech Forums!
